Welcome to Virtual Prophecy Entertainment

Virtual Prophecy Entertainment is a dedicated computer game software developer based in South Florida. Since its creation in 2007, Virtual Prophecy Entertainment has always been centered on graphic superiority, pleasurable gameplay, and imaginative design. With this focus, Virtual Prophecy has established a foothold in the ever-changing games industry. As new technologies continue to move forward, we remain dedicated to retaining our creative nature while upgrading to an even higher level of quality in electronic gaming.

The company was founded in 2007 by industry vets (and friends) Johnny Casamassina, Paul Denson, and Mike Niedda. Together, their knowledge of high-end production, design, and artistic quality allowed Virtual Prophecy Entertainment to make an immediate impact in the casual games market by working on several successful titles such as: Cooking Quest, Plan It Green, Medical Mysteries, and Lost Secrets: Bermuda Triangle. Shortly after, Virtual Prophecy added the programming genius of Curtis Weber to its ranks thereby allowing for the development of the company's first fully internally developed IP, Mishap: An Accidental Haunting.

Today, Virtual Prophecy Entertainment continues to generate interest in the market by developing very ambitious, profitable, and unique games for the PC and next-generation gaming consoles.

Johnny Casamassina

President / Executive Producer

Johnny's road to Virtual Prophecy has helped define his unique, and often "robust" identity in the gaming industry. He grew up in South Florida and eventually attained an expensive college degree in business management at the University of Miami. Naturally, Johnny (with his dizzying intellect and insatiable hunger for a challenge) figured that there was no better way to put his education to good use than to move out to Hollywood, Ca. and begin a career as a comedic writer and performer. Not even one person in his whole family thought he was crazy either! Once there, he wrote and appeared in several sketch comedies featuring some of the funniest out-of-work/poor/unknown comedians of the 20th century. However, Johnny eventually needed to make real money so he concocted a plan to one day open his own video game company. I told you he was brilliant! Needing to know the ins-and-outs of the industry, Johnny disguised himself as a lowly 9$ an hour game tester and infiltrated several high-profile publishing and development companies. While there he absorbed several bits of information and began to see how games are made. With this intel in hand, he returned home to South Florida and took a job at AWE Games as a game designer. While there he designed, wrote, and even produced several AAA PC games. More importantly, he met 2 of his future partners, Paul Denson and Mike Niedda. With all of the pieces of the master plan in place, Johnny opened the doors of Virtual Prophecy Entertainment to show the world what a couple of determined, talented, and simply badass people can do when they are united under a common goal. You haven't seen anything yet!

Strengths: Genius level intellect, deceptively fast, incredibly handsome and charismatic

Weaknesses: Cannot utter a word without rapid hand movement, cluttered desktop, fudge brownies

Quote: "Listen up Jabronis!"

Paul Denson

Lead Environment & Effects Artist

The steady, cool, and relaxed head that sits atop Paul Denson's neck has been formed through a great deal of triumph in adverse situations. A talented rock-n-roll drummer, Paul's creative drive is always moving to the rhythm of a new beat. Once he found his way into the game industry, his amazing artistic nature and talents developed as he worked for a series of small companies that required him to learn several different skill sets. He may portray himself as a "super-relaxed chillin bro", but underneath the cool demeanor is a true workaholic. A master of several custom techniques, Paul's unmatchable work ethic drives him to continually evolve his talents and push himself in new directions all the time. He takes on new challenges daily in an effort to provide only the highest caliber of work possible. Above all of these accolades is the fact that Paul is a genuine article, and he proves this constantly as he mentors many young artists seeking to match his ability one day. He feels there is no better way to control your destiny than taking the reigns and developing a company with the right assortment of talented people.

Strengths: Amazing artistic foundation and skill set, unparalleled work ethic, proven and dependable

Weaknesses: Differing brightness and contrast settings, likes some odd musical selections, long render times!

Quote: "From ROCKIN', to Rollin up in the world here at VP! Keep the Mountain Dew flowin!"

Mike Niedda

Lead Character & Animation Artist

Some people have the uncanny ability to breath life into the things they craft and this is the summation of a true creator. Mike, an old school gamer that grew up tossing fireballs, eating mushrooms, and stomping goombas, always wanted to break into the business. His real talent, creating characters bursting at the seams with personality, has always defined him. His abilities in illustration, modeling, and animation have given a certain special "something" to anything he does. After several years of creating characters at AWE GAMES, Mike helped to form Virtual Prophecy with friends Johnny and Paul. His un-replaceable talents are a force to be reckoned with and he continues to forge new ground in character creation and development. Like Paul, he also shares an interest in imparting his knowledge and techniques down to those who prove themselves worthy of it. Luckily, this process bodes very well for Virtual Prophecy and its future plans.

Strengths: A true creator, years of creative experience, a deep/strong Voice

Weaknesses: Turbosmooth, always low on gas (truck owner), sugar

Quote: "Life is like a crappy video game from the 80's; one life and NO continues!"

Rafael Feliu

Lead Concept Artist

Destined at birth to become an artistic powerhouse, Rafael (I mean, his parents even named him Rafael) began drawing at an early age. Obsessed with comic and fantasy style art, he naturally began to adapt his unique style. Most of us would be frightened by the insane world that lives inside the mind of Rafael. Luckily, he allows us to see his crazy thoughts through his masterful use of the pencil and paper. Bursting with creativity and the talent to bring it to life, he was sought out by Virtual Prophecy. Naturally, his extreme ideas fit perfectly in the company and he has become a valued member of the team. Outside of what he has already brought to the table, everyone here is excited (and equally frightened) by what he will come up with in the future.

Strengths: Mad artistic skills, incredibly insane imagination, one more time - MAD artistic skills!

Weakness: Confused between his right and his left, straight jackets, running out of pencil lead

Quote: "There are no impossible objectives in this world; there is just lack of determination and short patience."

Curt Weber

Technical Director

Programmers are quite interesting people/machines. The anatomically larger left portion of their brains (CPUS) often leaves very little space for the right portion. This has led many of them to be compared to androids, long-division equations, and cabbage. Strangely enough, Virtual Prophecy's head nerd actually attempted to counterattack these inherent tendencies and, at one time, fancied himself to be an artist! Naturally, these delusions completely went against his internal thought processes (prime directives), but he really sold himself to be an artist. Luckily, before this internal struggle could overtake him, Virtual Prophecy stepped in and re-coded his thought patterns. Thankfully, Curt (otherwise know as VPE-model 101) has been able to fulfill all of the company's technical needs as we go into the future. However, on occasion, an anomaly does form and Curt can be found churning out artwork (in Paint Shop Pro only of course!)

Strengths: He's completely modular, efficient and streamlined, proficient in the use of over 6 million forms of programming languages

Weaknesses: .,..-.=㰷¹.-)㰷..:.-I3.`㣤`㰷㰷g%㣤㰷!؉#.`%.`\h.};=㰷.;..

Quote: "Why would you do that?? That's a completely outdated algorithm!"

Luis Armstrong

Environment Artist

Don't let his naive, gob-smacked grin or deer-in-the headlights expression fool you... Luis is an experienced and cunning master of manipulation. Okay... maybe not, but Luis is definitely aware of what is going on around him right? None of us here at Virtual Prophecy are quite sure. Luckily, however, what Luis lacks in the communication department he certainly makes up for in the talented artist department. Another avid student of Paul's methods, Virtual Prophecy witnessed Luis go from barely being able to construct a basic model in a day to busting out whole detailed scenes in no time. The guy has a fantastic creative eye and he backs it up with his great work ethic. Luis has a bright future in the game industry and is a very valuable member of the Virtual Prophecy crew.

Strengths: Picks up new methods really fast, gets the job done, can build anything with LEGOS

Weaknesses: File naming conventions, keeps losing the damn bathroom keys, cookies

Quote: "What? Where?"

Tadao Masuyama

Environment Artist

A subtle guy with amazing potential, Tadao's budding talents and interest in art first became apparent to him during high school. He took this interest seriously and pursued it tirelessly. His talents eventually caught the eye of Virtual Prophecy Entertainment where he was given the opportunity to learn several advanced techniques under Paul's tutelage. His incredible progress has lead him to become a go to guy at Virtual Prophecy and everyone is excited what he is going to grow into!

Strengths: Un-chartable potential, love what he does, the dude has a freakin cool name!... I mean TA-DAOOO!

Weaknesses: Young and impressionable, contract negotiation, oatmeal

Quote: "What else can I model?"

Carlos Giraldo

Sound Engineer

Like a stallion on a race track, Carlos always strives for perfection even though he knows he will never reach it. However, he feels that if he can inch a little bit closer each day than his journey through life will be all the more enjoyable. An entertainer at heart, Carlos truly loves to revel in the joy (and other emotions) that his work inspires. As a sound designer and engineer, Carlos has the difficult task of crafting perfect and poignant sounds. Carlos has often said that he would like his legend to be defined by how much he has sacrificed in life, instead of what he has gained. Not one to become complacent, once he feels that he is too comfortable with his techniques, he pushes himself to learn something new and challenging. From the moment he injected himself into Virtual Prophecy, Carlos proved himself as a real asset who tells it like it is and then delivers the goods.

Strengths: Strong sense of humor, has the sexiest name possible among males, supersonic abnormal hearing processing capabilities

Weakness: Honey mustard, paranoid sleeper who hears voices in his head, disgusting hygiene

Quote: "What is life, if not to dance?"

Dexter

Non-Human Resources

Like most of Virtual Prophecy's staff, Dexter is amazing at what he does... Which, really isn't all the much. Typical dog stuff okay... Sleeping, eating, stretching. Trust us... he is amazing at all of these things. However, he does serve one super important purpose at the company... Dexter can smell a rat. Our team dynamic is the most special thing we have going for us now and into the future. We only got to where we are because of how we have bonded together and we want to keep it that way. If Dexter doesn't like you, well then, you aren't Virtual Prophecy material. So far, Dexter pretty much likes everybody, so we're pretty sure if he turns his nose up at you that's a pretty obvious indicator of who you are.

Strengths: Ability to lie motionless for hours on end, can digest almost anything, fool-proof character evaluator

Weaknesses: Separation Anxiety Syndrome, chair thief, eats poop
